Aims and Scope

 The aim of Music Cognition is to provide an interdisciplinary forum for scholarly discussion and research on cognitive, psychological, pedagogical and neuroscientific aspects of music.

 The journal publishes fundamental and empirical research that advances theoretical understanding and methodological approaches in the field of music cognition.

 Music Cognition welcomes original research articles that contribute significant insights or address relevant theoretical and methodological questions within the discipline.

 Manuscripts must be written in English and prepared in accordance with the latest edition of the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (APA).

 European Relevance

Music Cognition contributes to promotion of high-quality research papers, relevant in Europe. The journal encourage colaboration and partnership between relevant research institutions in Europe, promoting the importance of cooperation and interdisciplinary reaserch initiatives. The editorial board comprises scholars affiliated with leading European research institutions, and the journal regularly publishes contributions from researchers across Europe.

 Publication Frequency

 The journal is published annually. Each issue contains a minimum of ten peer-reviewed research articles.
